Let’s Stop HIV Together

Details: AIDS is a chronic immune system disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

HIV damages the immune system and interferes with the body’s ability to fight infection and disease. HIV can be spread through contact with infected blood, semen, or vaginal fluids. There’s no cure for HIV/AIDS, but medications can control the infection and prevent disease progression.

ACEs – Adverse Childhood Experience

Details: When children experience traumatic events, it can have lasting effects on their health and wellbeing. These events are called ACEs.

This training is to help you understand Adverse Childhood Experience to better build self-healing communities.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Details: Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people (YMHFA).

Mental Health First Aid

Details: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training program that teaches individuals of the public on early intervention on mental health.

Individuals will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a mental health challenge, how to listen non- judgmentally, give reassurance, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and service. No Charge to the Public
