It is the mission of Virginia’s Region Five Community Services Boards (CSBs) to work together as a team to ensure that the public behavioral health and developmental disability system of Southeastern and Coastal Virginia consistently provides high quality, evidence-informed crisis stabilization, clinical treatment and supports.

Collectively, we require our staff to engage in continuous training in current and best practices to keep our foundation strong. We value cultural diversity, the tenants of recovery, person-centered-planning and self-directed care, and recognize the need to include all aspects of each individual person and their relationship system to promote growth and overall wellness.

Bridging the gap for community behavioral health and healing, together we strive to promote excellence in the provision of consumer care, support multi-cultural awareness and growth by identifying training and resources, build cohesive workplace environments, and partner with community efforts to advocate for racial and cultural parity.

We serve as the gateway to information, advocacy, and treatment related supports. Additionally, we provide immediate crisis intervention, same-day access to clinician services, private counseling and therapy, ongoing training and guidance for behavioral health professionals, and a connection to other local and regional resources.
