Region Five Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a technique designed to explore, enhance and support a client’s motivation and commitment to change.
Training will explore the key principles of this non-confrontational, collaborative technique to include assessing stages of change and how best to approach each one.

Participants will develop and practice language and skills that support the ‘spirit’ of this process designed to increase partnership, acceptance and compassion within the therapeutic relationship and empowerment for the client.
