Region Five’s 988 Crisis Call Center is at the heart of our community-based approach to Behavioral Health crisis intervention, care, and continuity.
Region Five’s 988 Crisis Call Center is at the heart of our community-based approach to Behavioral Health crisis intervention, care, and continuity.
The Crisis Call Center is the primary entry point to Region Five’s wrap-around crisis care system based on Virginia’s implementation of the Crisis Now Model and begins with answering every call for help.
We are staffed 24/7 with clinicians and peers to provide high-quality crisis care via phone/text/chat contact. Our purpose is to ensure the right level of help is available at the right time for every caller. These supports range from providing active listening to resource navigation to crisis counseling to dispatching in-home crisis care by trained clinicians.
In addition to working closely with 911 and other emergency services, Region Five’s 988 Crisis Call Center also directs Mobile Crisis Teams of in-home specialists for face-to-face response and coordination of outpatient CSB services or center-based care connection.
The Crisis Call Center team is passionate and dedicated to providing 24/7 access to the help, resources, and treatment every situation requires and deserves – and will ensure every behavioral health crisis is responsibly and diligently addressed and supported.
