Western Tidewater Crisis Receiving Center

The Western Tidewater Crisis Receiving Center is a 24/7 emergency behavioral health service offering supportive, short-term care for adults in crisis. Guests may stay up to 23 hours while the team provides stabilization support, planning, and connection to follow-up services.

Transportation support is available at this location.

Services may include:

  • Social detox
  • Psycho-education
  • Intensive group and individual therapy
  • Peer specialist support
  • Art and recreational therapy
  • Linkage to resources

Criteria for admission:

  • 18 or older
  • Experiencing a crisis (mental health, behavioral health, substance abuse, family related crisis, any crisis event)
  • Must live inside the Region Five Area
